§ 2-21. Building official.

A building official, if hired, shall work under the supervision of the city administrator. It shall be the duty and power of the building inspector to carry out the provisions of the State Building Code and the ordinances of the city relating to construction. The building inspector shall submit a periodic report to the council covering the work of his department for intervals required by the council.
