§ 2-6. City administrator's petty cash fund.

  • A fund known as the city administrator's petty cash fund is established for the purpose of payment of such items as freight, postage and other similar items in cash. The fund shall be maintained by the city administrator and all disbursements shall be made by order signed by the mayor and the city administrator without prior authorization of the council, provided, however, that a verified account of such disbursements shall be presented to the council for approval at the next regular meeting. The council may transfer money to the petty cash fund from the general fund as it may, from time to time, deem necessary.
